Chris Golden is a fractal, creator and the producer of Acton UP. He is a constant learner trying to improve each day. Chris has years behind him as a hip-hop artist, sharing the stage with such acts as Talib Kweli, Yasiin Bey AKA Mos Def, RA The Rugged Man, Classified, Moka Only, Freeway and many more. He had spent over 12 years as an outreach worker. Chris has a passion for critical thinking and "thought systems” which he has run multiple workshops on.  Chris has years of experience in writing, not only with music and workshops and presentations but also writing and being on the editorial committee for “The Undercroft”. A for youth by youth magazine that was distributed throughout Halton Region for a 5 or 6 year period.
Chris has been a planner for multiple community events and initiatives, including “The New Years Chance For Change”, “Tones of Freedom”,  The painting around prospects park, as well as planning the music for the re-opening of The Three Musketears skatepark.  In 2013 Chris received the “Cheers to Volunteers” award in recognition for his work with POSSE. It was on that Day he met Alison Jones (The then Chair of the Acton Community Garden, who was also receiving an award) and heard about the community garden and the great work they were doing. It was then he decided to join the community garden as a volunteer.  In 2016 Alison Jones decided to step down from her role as chair. Chris took over and is now presently chair.
