Alex Hilson is an advocate who believes we must strive to be our best selves so as to give others permission to reach their full potential through our example. He is the Primary Teacher at the Acton Music Centre; the Founder of Inspire Halton, a nonprofit that serves youth in Halton Hills and Milton; a writer with the Acton Tanner and the Host of Acton UP, a video documentary series about Acton.He is passionate about youth, the arts, mental health and building community.
Alex was one of three Canada 150 Ambassadors representing Halton Hills in 2017, was awarded the Kenneth Harrison Award for Youth Mentorship from the Halton Hills Cultural Round Table and was also recently named Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy from the AFP Golden Horseshoe Chapter.
